Choosing Treatment Length and Frequency

Not sure what to book? A ninety minute session every two to three weeks is our most frequently scheduled session length and cadence, to both focus on one to two trouble areas while still leaving time to address corresponding areas in the body. A commonly suggested dosage in massage research is one hour of massage a week given that less time more frequently is more effective at tissue care than longer sessions more spread out.

All massage appointments are $120 per massage hour (before tax) and include the full treatment length booked. Anticipate an additional 30 minutes max for intake procedures, use of the restroom, concluding questions and the checkout process. You do not need to arrive early to use the facilities, as the front door remains locked and your massage therapist McKenna will not be able to receive you before your scheduled appointment slot due to sanitation procedures, or may even need a few minutes to finish resetting the space. For example, a ninety minute massage with appointment starting at 2:30pm will have you on the table around 2:45pm, starting checkout around 4:15pm, and out the door by 4:30pm at the latest. If McKenna is running behind it will not reduce your bodywork duration.

As a therapeutic massage practice we do not accept tips.

Ohio’s Sales Tax is not included in the prices listed. If you have a prescription for massage from a licensed physician or chiropractor, you are exempt from Ohio’s state sales tax. Sales tax is not collected when purchasing a gift certificate, but when it is presented as payment, so an additional 8% (starting April 1st, 2024) will be collected at the time of service unless a written prescription for massage has already been provided.

We do not charge differently depending on what modalities we use.

Cancellation Policy

Please message cancellation notice to (614)360-9750 at least 48 hours before your appointment to avoid fees, or to negotiate a masking exemption.

Our patients get ONE FREE CANCELLATION waiver a year, resetting 365 days since their last waived fee. A fee percentage is determined by the time between message timestamp and cancelled appointment; 100% if within 18 hours – 50% for less than 24 hours – 40% cancellation fee for less than two days. Your card on file will be charged through the Vagaro Patient Portal.

If you are symptomatic or have potentially been exposed to COVID, please cancel your session until two weeks after your known exposure date even if asymptomatic, or provide two days of negative rapid tests after symptoms resolve. If you are uncomfortable wearing a N/KN95 you are responsible for timely canceling to avoid fees. Thank you for your patience if LMT McKenna (pronouns: they/them) has a long-covid flare up and needs to unexpectedly cancel same-day as your appointment.

WEATHER CANCELLATION: The building will close if Franklin County has a tornado watch or is considered a “Snow Emergency” under a Level 2 Snow Emergency or higher, and will be rescheduled at no cost to you.

18 or younger?

If you are under 18 you will need one of your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to receive treatment from McKenna. There is a reception area with complementary wifi and tea service if your parent wishes to stay on premises during your treatment, or they can join in Unravel Massage’s treatment room with you.
